From Northern America, Asia and Australia
There are very few direct
intercontinental flights from overseas to our island! However, all major
European, American and Asian carriers have flights from Australia, Asia,
Canada and the United States to Europe with connections to numerous
destinations in Spain. A change of plane or airline will therefore
certainly be necessary somewhere else in Spain (e.g: Madrid [MAD],
Barcelona [BCN]...), or in another European city (e.g: London [LGW, LHR,
LTN or LSN], Brussels [BRU] , Paris [CDG], Frankfurt [FRA]...) .
For your convenience we have listed the major airlines which fly to
Mallorca. This listing may help you to save time and money !

PRACTICAL / USEFULL INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLING TO SPAIN
VISAS, PASSPORTS
Citizens of a Member State of the European Union require only a valid passport or National Identity Card from their home state. Citizens of Andorra, Austria, Liechtenstein, Monaco and Switzerland need only proof of citizenship of their country. Danes must present a valid passport. If in doubt, check with the nearest consulate of any EU country.
Visas are not needed by U.S., Canadian, Japanese, Australian, New Zealand or British citizens for visits of less than three months. If in doubt, check with the nearest consulate of any EU country. All other nationals are advised to check with Spanish embassies in their own countries.
HEALTH REGULATIONS
Visitors to Spain
are not currently subject to any health requirements: according to the World
health Organisation, no vaccinations are required for entry to Spain. However,
check with your travel agent before departure in case inoculation certificates
are needed.
We recommend that EU citizens bring with them Document E 111 which can be
obtained from your local Post Office or your Social Security Office. It will
cover you in case of illness.
ELECTRICITY
The electrical voltage is 220 volts. Appliances which work on 110 volts (U.S. standard) will require a transformer and British plugs need adaptors to fit Spanish sockets. These adaptors can be bought in airports or in local shops around the hotel.
